During the vigilance awareness week being followed all over the Zone from 27th Oct to 2nd Nov 2020, vigilance branch of SWR has launched “Integrity Portal”

At the outset Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager, South Western Railway administered the Vigilance Pledge through virtual link.

The ‘Integrity Pool’ is envisaged as a forum to spread honesty, build good character and imbibing virtuous acts.  It is an attempt to deal with corruption from basics and fundamentals.  It is conceived as a complementary strategy to current vigilance activities.

‘Integrity Pool’ website provides a web based interface and repository to educate people and to give a forum to evolve various new departments on integrity, ethics and character.  It encourages sharing the acts of integrity, seen in and around and also understand what it means. It acts as a container of all such testimonials, with focus on railway persons, for enhancing overall increase in the intensity of honesty and ethical values.

In order to make it engaging, the focus is on providing a simple and intuitive user experience on the website. The users will be able to submit integrity instances and also view the ‘integrity pool’. Other functionalities shall include – a repository of existing material on Ethics and honesty, a forum for doing research on same and also for up voting, social media sharing, Integrity pool count and uploading the Integrity pledge copies for display.

Addressing the webinar, Shri Arvind Malkhede, Divisional Railway Manager of Hubballi Division said that the theme of this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week is ‘Vigilant India, Prosperous India’.  The Vigilance Awareness Week coincides with the birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.
