UP AND DOWN MAIN LINES DECLARED FIT FOT NORMAL TRAIN MOVEMENT

RESTORATION WORK COMPLETED AT THEDERAILMENT SITE

NEAR BALASORE

 

 

Kolkata, 5thJune, 2023: 

 

Train no. 12841 Shalimar-Chennai Coromandal Express and Train no. 12864 Sir M Visvesvaraya-Howrah Superfast Express got derailed near Bahanaga Bazar Railway station at around 18.55 hrs o­n 02.06.2023. Train service of SER was affected due to this derailment.

 

The restoration work was completed with continuous monitoring by Hon’ble Minister for Railways and both up & down lines were declared fit. The first train was run o­n Down Line at 22.40hrs o­n 04.06.2023 and the first train was run o­n Up line at 00.05 hrs o­n 05.06.2023. Normal traffic movement has resumed o­n both the lines.

PR No. 4 Shri R. Dhananjayulu, IRTS assumes Charge as Additional General Manager, South Central Railway

Shri R. Dhananjayulu assumed charge as Additional General Manager (AGM), South Central Railway o­n 05th April, 2023 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. He belongs to Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) of 1988 batch. Prior to the present assignment he worked as Principal Chief Operations Manager (PCOM), South Central Railway.

           

He began his career o­n Railways as Area Officer/Vasco. He has worked o­n various capacities in Operations, Safety and Commercial Departments during his tenure. Other important capacities are Senior Divisional Operations Manager / Hyderabad & Vijayawada Divisions, Secretary to General Manager, SCR. He was also worked as Divisional Railway Manager / Vijayawada Division. He was nominated as Officer o­n Special Duty for the formation of South Coast Railway. He has worked o­n deputation as Chief General Manager, Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR).

 

During his tenure as Principal Chief Operations Manager, SCR has transported a record of 131.854 Million Tonnes of originating freight traffic from the Zone during the current financial year, which is the best ever performance in the history of the Zone. SCR has also registered Rs 13039.25 Crore as Originating freight revenue in the current financial year which is the highest freight revenue registered by the Zone in any financial year since its inception.

 

Shri R. Dhananjayulu has varied experience as Policy maker and Administrator in the areas of Railway Operations and Infrastructure Planning. He underwent several academic and professional training programmes at India and Abroad. He underwent training in Germany in the fields of Urban Traffic Management, Railway Management and Port Operations, Advanced Management Programme at ICLIF / Malaysia and INSEAD / Singapore, Port Management Training at APEC, Antwerp Port, Belgium Advanced Management Programme for Senior Railway officers at SDA Bocconi Business School, Milan, Italy.
