Travel Advisory to Rail Passengers

In view of the rising flood levels in several places due to heavy rains and severe cyclonic conditions prevailing in the South Coastal region of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, there is a likelihood of change in the pattern of train services in this region in the next couple of days in the interest of safety to the train operations and passengers.

The sections between Nellore – Padugupadu in Vijayawada division; Tanakallu – Mulacalacheruvu and Nandalur – Razampet section Guntakal Division have been affected with due to the continuous overflow of water. In view of these 56 trains are being run on diverted routes, 11 trains were partially cancelled and 42 trains have been fully cancelled till now.

Further, train services scheduled for operation over the Zone may be changed depending on the emerging situation. They may be either diverted, rescheduled, partially cancelled or cancelled as per the demands of the situation.

Passengers are requested to please plan their rail journeys keeping in view the above factors and may check from the Railway authorities about the actual position of the running of the trains before undertaking their journey.

Passengers can also avail the information related to cancellation/partial cancellation/diversion/rescheduling of trains on the Social Media platforms like Twitter (SCRailwayIndia), Facebook (South Central Railway-S.C.R), KOO (@scrailwayindia), Instagram (@scrailwayindia) also apart from Print and Electronic media.
