DRM MUMBAI CENTRAL DIVISION FELICITATES TICKET CHECKING STAFF FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE

101 Ticket Checking Staff felicitated with Merit Certificates, Medals & Cash Awards

Western Railway conducts regular ticket checking drives to keep a check o­n unauthorized travelling. Mumbai Division of WR has accomplished a remarkable feat by recovering Rs. 29.81 crore during such checking drives conducted upto the month of June, 2022 which is 550% more against the set target for the period. In recognition of their performance, Shri G V L Satyakumar, Divisional Railway Manager of Mumbai Central Division felicitated the outstanding ticket checking staff of the division for their best performances in the month of May & June, 2022

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, DRM Shri Satyakumar felicitated 101 Ticket Checking staff with Merit Certificates, Medals & Cash Awards for their outstanding performance. The Ticket Checking Staff were categorized o­n the basis of the penalty amount realized over & above their individual targets. The staff were adjudged based o­n the norms & criteria set and accordingly they were felicitated with Gold, Silver & Bronze medals & cash awards. This has uplifted their morale and will enable them to give their best.

Shri Thakur further stated thatMumbai Division of WR created history in the month of May 2022 by achieving an amount of Rs. 12.24 crore in Ticket Checking fines during the intensive checking drives conducted. The total cumulative amount realized as fines for the months of April, May & June 2022 is Rs. 29.81 crore which is 732% higher as compared to the corresponding period last year & 550% more than the set cumulative target of 4.58 crore. These achievements have been accomplished due to meticulous planning and execution by the Commercial Department of the Division.

Western Railway appeals to the general public to travel with proper & valid tickets and carry valid Identity cards in order to avoid inconvenience.

WR EXTENDS THE TRIPS OF TWO PAIRS OF SPECIAL TRAINS

 

For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, Western Railway has extended the trips of 2 pairs of Special trainson Special Fare o­n the same composition, timings, halts and path.

 

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, details of these pairs of trains are as under:

 

1.Train No. 09005 Bandra Terminus – Izzatnagar Bi-Weekly Special which was notified upto 29th July, 2022 has been extended to run from 05th August to 19th August 2022 and 16th September to 30th September, 2022.

2.Train No. 09006 Izzatnagar – Borivali Bi-Weekly Special which was notified upto 30th July, 2022 has been extended to run from 6th August to 20th August 2022, 17thSeptember to01st October, 2022.

3.Train No. 09075 Mumbai Central - Kathgodam Weekly Special which was notified upto 27th July, 2022 has been extended to run from 3rd August to 17th August 2022 and 14th September to 28th September, 2022.

4.Train No. 09076 Kathgodam - Mumbai Central Weekly Special which was notified upto 28th July, 2022 has been extended to run from 04th August to 18th August 2022 and 15th September to 29th September, 2022.

 

The booking of extended trips of Train No. 09075 is open, while for Train No 09005 will open o­n 3rd August, 2022 at PRS counters and IRCTC website. For detailed information regarding timings of halts and composition, passengers may please visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in
