CRS AUTHORIZATION RECEIVED FOR BAZARSAU – CHOWRIGACHHA DOUBLING •Entire Bazarsau – Azimganj Doubling Project fully completed Kolkata, February 2, 2023 CRS (Commissioner Railway Safety, Eastern Circle) inspection of doubling work of 7.35 km between Bazarsau & Chowrigachha was completed on 1.2.2023 and subsequently authorization has been received from CRS regarding running of trains through the newly incepted double line between Bazarsau & Chowrigachha at a speed of 100 kmph. As a part of ER’s continuous endeavour to bring more mobility and flexibility enabling speedy transportation, with the completion of the stretch of doubling between Bazarsau & Chowrigachha, the entire double line project between Bazarsau & Azimganj Jn. (42.15 km) is now fully completed enabling seamless double line movement in entire BAK loop with reduced journey time. This will facilitate capacity enhancement and inception of new trains in future for more convenience of the passengers. Thus, doubling of Katwa – Azimganj section is totally complete now and this has become a convenient alternative route to Northeastern region, establishing speedy connectivity between southern part of West Bengal to North Bengal and northeastern states. It may be noted that, this year (2022-23) Eastern Railway has completed all the six projects with corresponding CRS sanction. Among these, there are three super-critical projects & one critical project which has been successfully completed by Construction Wing of Eastern Railway. 2

REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR DOUBLING WORK AT BAZARSAU & CHOWRIGACHA STATIONS Kolkata, January 28, 2023 Due to pre non-interlocking/non-interlocking work at Chowrigacha & Bazarsau stations in connection with doubling work, Traffic & Power block have been planned on both UP and DN line simultaneously from 30.01.2023 to 01.02.2023. Consequently, following arrangements in train running have been made :- Cancellation of trains On 30.01.2023 From Azimganj : 03068. On 31.01.2023 From Azimganj: 03036, 03062, 03096, 03098, 03090, 03076, 05436. From Katwa: 03035, 03061, 03095, 03097, 03089, 03075. On 01.02.2023 From Azimganj: 03042, 03068, 03036, 03062, 03096, 03098, 03090, 03076. From Katwa: 05435, 03041, 03035, 03061, 03095, 03097, 03089, 03075. Short Origination • 03067 will remain partially cancelled in between Katwa & Azimganj and it will be short originated from Azimganj on 30.01.2023 & 01.02.2023. Moreover, 13063 Howrah - Balurghat Express will be controlled for 30 minutes enroute on 30.01.2023. Inconvenience to be caused to the passengers is deeply regretted. | ||||||||
