LIMITED HEIGHT SUBWAY COMMISSIONED BETWEEN PURBASTHALI & PATULI Kolkata, March 14, 2022 Eastern Railway is working on war footing for replacement of level crossings with limited height subway both for increasing speed & safety of train movement as well as convenience of road traffic movement. Recently, Howrah division has successfully commissioned another limited height subway (LHS) replacing the level crossing gate no. 17/1/C between Purbasthali & Patuli stations of Bandel – Katwa section. The complicated task of placing the 9 Nos. of pre-cast RCC Box (Reinforced Cement Concrete) and 8 Nos. of pre-cast RCC slabs were successfully placed well within the scheduled traffic block period from 6 hrs. to 19.10 hrs. on Sunday (13.3.2022). Moreover, various other important works to augment safety as well as easing of train movement has been completed in the shadow of this big construction work, so that the traffic block period can be exhaustively utilized for various purposes to minimize the requirement of controlling train movement. The additional works which completed on the Sunday include placement of new girder of a Railway bridge, welding of rail joints, greasing of rail clips, 1.7 km of track renewal etc. The entire commissioning was completed at 17.50 hrs. which is much before the schedule time at 19.10 hrs. This could be possible by the dedicated & coordinated involvement of different divisions of Howrah Division assigned to complete the work. 2

REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF LIMITED HEIGHT SUBWAY BETWEEN PURBASTHALI AND PATULI STATIONS Kolkata, March 9, 2022: For construction of Limited Height Subway in place of Level Crossing Gate between Purbasthali & Patuli stations and to replace girders of bridge between Nabadwip Dham & Purbasthali station, 790 minutes (06:00 hrs. to 19:10 hrs.) traffic & power block simultaneously on both Up and Down line between Nabadwip Dham and Dainhat stations in Bandel – Katwa double line section of Howrah Division has been planned on 13.03.2022 (Sunday). Consequently, 2 EMU trains will remain cancelled on 12.03.2022. Moreover, 21 EMU and 02 intercity trains will remain cancelled on 13.03.2022. Further 07 pairs local will be short terminated / originated on 13.03.2022:- Cancellation: Journey Commencing on 12.03.2022: From Howrah: 37925 & 37927 Journey Commencing on 13.03.2022: From Howrah: 13465, 37911, 37915 & 37919 From Bandel: 37745, 37747, 37751 & 37753 From Katwa: 37914, 37916, 37918, 37920, 37744, 37922, 37746, 37748, 37924, 37926, 37750, 37752, 37928 & 37754 From Malda: 13466 Short Termination/Origination: (On 13.03.2022) 1.37741 will be short terminated at Nabadwip Dham at 04:17 hrs. and will leave at 06:55 hrs. for Howrah as passenger special. 2.37743 will be short terminated at Nabadwip Dham at 05:42 hrs. and will leave at 07:46 hrs. for Howrah as passenger special. 3.37913 will be short terminated at Nabadwip Dham at 10:11 hrs. and will leave at 11:56 hrs. for Bandel as passenger special. 4.31111 will be short terminated at Bandel at 09:26 hrs. and 31112 will be short originated from Bandel at 18:07 hrs. 5.37749 will be short terminated at Nabadwip Dham at 13:27 hrs. and will leave at 16:16 hrs. for Howrah as passenger special. 6.37917 will be short terminated at Purbasthali at 14:24 hrs. and will leave at 18:21 hrs. for Bandel as passenger special. Diversion: 13141 Up Teesta Torsha Express (Journey Commencing on 13.03.2022) and 15643 Up Puri – Kamakhya Express (Journey Commencing on 12.03.2022) will be diverted from Bandel via Barddhaman – Rampurhat – Nalhati – Azimganj with stoppage at Barddhaman & Rampurhat.
