BHUBANESWAR-NAYAGARH TOWN MEMU WITH CCTV & MODERN AMENITIES:




The Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town MEMU has been provided with CCTV observation, modern amenities. GPS- based Passenger Information System & Passenger Address System for train-related information, Fibre-reinforced Plastic (FRP) interior Panels will give a pleasing aesthetic view have also been provided in this MEMU.



It is manufactured with Stainless Steel coach body and has aerodynamically shaped stainless steel front end nose for reduced air resistance, thereby saving in energy. Ergonomic FRP drive desk would give a better view and easy operation. Air suspension monitoring system for jerk free journey and the air conditioned driver cabin will ensure driver’s comfort.



 This MEMU train has a stainless steel slip free flooring for durable and safety travel, bench type cushioned seats for comfortable journey, wider vestibules between coaches for safe and easy inter-coach travel, lightweight aluminium double leaf sliding doors for easy entry and exit of passengers, bogies with air spring in secondary suspension for better ride comfort, stainless steel hand holds and stainless steel modular toilets with bio-retention for durability and preventing spillage o­n tracks, LED lighting, stainless steel luggage rake, fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) interiors for better aesthetics and cushioned seats for the passengers.



This MEMU rake consists of eight coaches and will accommodate 614 seating passengers excluding standing passengers. This MEMU is operated o­n 25 kv AC overhead traction and it has 3 phase o­n-board indigenous electric traction system, supported by regenerative braking system to save up to 35% energy.

ECoR: THE MOST PROFITABLE ZONE IN INDIAN RAILWAYS


•          FIRST RAILWAY ZONE TO ACHIEVE MORE THAN 150 MT LOADING IN THIS FISCAL

•          ECoR LOADED 22 % MORE THAN LAST YEAR TILL NOVEMBER

•          HIGHEST LOADING OF 19.71 MT IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER

During the period from 1st April to 30th November, 2021 East Coast Railway has loaded 150.56MT of freight as against 123.72MT carried in the corresponding period of last fiscal. With this, it has loaded 26.84MT incremental cargo during the current financial year by registering an increase of 22%.

During the period, 100.65 MT of freight carried from Khurda Road Division, 42.15 MT of freight from Waltair Division and 7.76 MT of freight carried from Sambalpur Division.

In the month of November itself, the zone also loaded 19.71 MT of freight as against 18.84 MT carried in the corresponding month last year with an increase of 5% in loading.

The zone has also surpassed the loading target 145.53MT fixed by the Railway Board during the period. This could be possible due to outstanding performance of all the three Divisions of East Coast Railway, i.e. Khurda Road, Waltair and Sambalpur. During the period, ECoR has loaded 84.93MT of Coal, 5.25MT of Raw material for Steel Plants, 14.06 MT of Iron & Steel, 20.37MT of Iron Ore, 0.75MT of Cement, 1.98MT of Food Grains, 3.39MT of Fertilizer, 1.74MT of POL, 2.73MT of freight loaded in Containers and 14.96MT of other cargo.

Major contributors of freight include Talcher, Paradeep, Dhamara, Visakhapatnam, Gangavaram, Nayagarh area, KK Line, Steel Plants, Aluminium plants and from other places of ECoR jurisdiction.
