SER TO RUN HOWRAH-JALESWAR-HOWRAH MEMU PASSENGER

 

Kolkata, 25th February, 2021:

 

Keeping in view the demand of the passengers, South Eastern Railway has decided to run MEMU Passenger Train between Howrah and Jaleswar w.e.f. 26.02.2021 both from Howrah and Jaleswar as per the following schedule:-

 

68007 Howrah-Jaleswar MEMU Passenger leaving Howrah daily at 16.50 hrs will reach Jaleswar at 21.25 hrs the same day. In the opposite direction, 68002 Jaleswar-Howrah MEMU Passengerleaving Jaleswar daily at 06.10 hrs will arrive Howrah at 09.48 hrs the same day.

 

 68007/68002 will stop at Lakhannath Road, Angua, Dantan, Nekurseni, Belda, Bakhrabad, Narayangarh, Benapur, Hijli, Balichak, Panskura, Mecheda, Bagnan, Uluberia and Santragachi. 68002 will also stop at Deulti and Andul. 68007 will also stop at Bauria, Haur, Radhamohanpur & Madpur.

 

Passengers are requested to strictly follow all the safety protocols before and during journey in the wake of COVID-19 Pandemic.

BLOOD DONATION DRIVE CONDUCTED BY JAGJIVAN RAM HOSPITAL & WESTERN RAILWAY MAZDOOR SANGH AT CHURCHGATE STATION

Shri Alok Kansal - General Manager of W.Rly inaugurated a blood donation camp organized by Jagjivan Ram Hospital, Mumbai in collaboration with the recognized trade union, i.e. Western Railway Mazdoor Sangh at Churchgate station o­n 12th March, 2020.

 

According to a press release issued by Shri Ravinder Bhakar – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, o­n this occasion, Shri Alok Kansal himself donated blood for the sake of humanity and needy patients. He has set an outstanding example to other railway employees by donating blood during this camp and has appealed the railway fraternity to inculcate a habit of this noble deed by mentioning that he himself has donated blood 40 times till date. Shri Kansal stated that with a strong workforce of almost o­ne lakh odd railway employees of Western Railway in Mumbai, such deeds of kindness will go a long way and will definitely be a great relief for those in urgent need of blood. General Manager assured that Western Railway will always be happy to extend a helping hand to Govt hospitals and NGOs for conducting such blood donation drives and that the railway employees will be available at any time for blood donation for needy patients. This event was also attended by Shri J. G. Mahurkar – General Secretary of Western Railway Mazdoor Sangh, Dr. G. Sahoo - Principal Chief Medical Director of W.Rly, Shri Yatri Dave Vitekar - Chief Personnel Officer (Industrial Relations) W. Rly, Shri Parikshit Mohanpuria - Dy. General Manager (General) W. Rly and Dr. Yoganand Patil – Senior Divisional Medical Officer of Jagjivan Ram Hospital. It is worth mentioning that Western Railway has organised several blood donation camps for Govt blood banks in Mumbai across several suburban railway stations such as Churchgate, Dadar, Andheri, Borivali & Virar stations.
