REPLACEMENT OF PLATE GIRDERS BY PSC SLAB OF BRIDGE NO. 67T on ER’S BARASAT – BANGAON SECTION COMPLETED

Kolkata, May 19, 2021:

During the prevailing crisis of COVID-19 pandemic, Railway is accomplishing many long pending important construction works for the sake of augmenting safety & ease of train movement by taking the advantage of lesser traffic in lockdown period.

Bridge no. 67T is situated between Chandpara & Bangaon Jn. on the Barasat – Bangaon section of Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division. The down line of bridge No. 67T is a 2 x 9.15 metre plate girder. The replacement of this plate girder which is as old as 1910 was essential.
