ShriSatish Kumar took over the charge of General Manager/ North Central Railway. Today o­n his arrival at Prayagraj o­n date-08.11.2022, ShriSatish Kumar addressed the meeting of officers at NCR headquarter office. All PHODs, senior officers of NCR were present in the meeting and DRMs of all the three divisions along with branch officers joined through video conferencing.

ShriSatish Kumar is B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from MNIT Jaipur and holds PG Diploma in Operation Management and PGCCL (Cyber Law) from IGNOU.

He is from 1986 batch of Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers. He joined Railways in March, 1988 and has a rich experience of 34 years of working o­n Indian Railways.

He worked o­n Jhansi Division of erstwhile Central Railway and BLW (Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi), NER, Gorkahpur, Patiala Locomotive Works. He was trained in Total Quality Management, under UNDP programme in 1996 and handled many project in his career. He has made special contribution in improvement of Fog Safe Device which has proven to be very instrumental in safe train operations during Foggy period,

He also worked as Divisional Railway Manager, Lucknow Division o­n Northern Railway from April,2017 to April,2019. A large nos. of infrastructural works were accomplished during his tenure as DRM/Lucknow. His works during Kumbh, 2019 was also appreciated by all levels which was a mammoth task and was successfully accomplished by his Lucknow Division team.

Before joining GM/NCR, he worked as Senior Dy. General Manager& Chief Vigilance Officer o­n North Western Railway Jaipur.

During the meeting while addressing the officer he said that his priorities will be providing facilities to passenger and work for continuous improvement in passenger travel experience and capacity augmentation for quantum jump in handling traffic.

WESTERN RAILWAY AGM SHRI PRAKASH BUTANI TO LOOK AFTER THE DUTIES OF GENERAL MANAGER DULY ASSUMING THE ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCIAL POWERS OF GM

Shri Prakash Butani

Shri Prakash Butani – Additional General Manager, Western Railway has assumed the Administrative & Financial powers of General Manager, Western Railway as delegated by Railway Board w.e.f 1^st May, 2022.

Shri Prakash Butani is a senior officer of Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (IRSME) 1985 batch. Previously, he has worked in various capacities in Central Railway, South East Railway, North Western Railway, Diesel Component Works/Patiala and Rail Coach Factory/Kapurthala.  During his posting in RDSO/Lucknow, he was involved in Joint Research Projects with IIT Kanpur under Technology Mission for Railway Safety for development of Wayside Detection Systems. He has worked as Divisional Railway Manager at Trivandrum, Southern Railway and also was in Central Railway holding the post of Chief Safety Officer and later Chief Administrative Officer (Projects).
