24 STATIONS ARE COVERED WITH“ONE STATION o­nE PRODUCT” OUTLETS IN JHARKHAND TO PROVIDE A MARKET FOR LOCAL/INDIGENOUS PRODUCTS

Kolkata, 16th May, 2023:

Ministry of Railways has launched ‘One Station o­ne Product’ (OSOP) scheme over Indian Railways with objectives to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ vision of the Government of India, provide a market for local/indigenous products and create additional income opportunities for the marginalized sections of the society. Under the scheme, OSOP outlets at railway stations are allotted for showcasing, selling and giving high visibility to indigenous/local products. The pilot of the scheme was started o­n 25.03.2022 and as o­n 01.05.2023, altogether 728 stations are covered with 785 OSOP outlets in 21 States and 3 Union Territories across the country. In the State of Jharkhand, 25 outlets of ‘One Station o­ne Product’ at 24 stations have been started. For uniformity, these OSOP stalls are designed through National Design Institute. Cumulative Direct Beneficiaries from March 2022 till 01.05.2023 is 25,109.

‘One Station o­ne Product’ are specific to that place and include artefacts made by indigenous tribes, handlooms by local weavers, handicrafts like world famous wood carving, tribal jwellery, spices tea, coffee and other processed/semi processed food items/products indigenously grown in the area.

General Manager awarded 05 railway staff of NCR for extraordinary commitment towards safety
Sri Mohd. Shahzeb  conferred  with "Employee of the Month Award" for the month of October
On 09.11.2022 General Manager, North Central Railway, Shri Satish Kumar conferred awards to staff for their alertness and contribution towards safety in train operations in the presence of PHODs of North Central Railway. 05 Railway staff were conferred with Safety awards by the General Manager o­n the occasion. 
Awarded employees include Shri Gaurav Kumar Maurya/Loco Pilot/Veerangana Laxmibai/Jhansi Division, Shri Santosh Kumar, Assistant Loca Pilot/Veerangana Laxmibai/Jhansi Division, Shri Manoj Agarwal, Track Maintainer/Billochpura/Agra Division, Shri Mukesh Chandra, Pointsman/Umbrella/Agra Division , Mohammad Shahzeb, Pointsman/Dadri/Prayagraj Division.
Mohammad Shahzeb, was awarded the Safety Award for the Employee of the month of October, 2022. Shri Mohammad Shahzeb while working at Gate No. 146, reported brake binding in coach no.C-8, which was 8th from brake van in Train No. 22436 during exchanging all right signal. o­n his information, the train was stopped at Ajaibpur station at 06:46 hrs, but thereafter the train was made to stop after passing Dankaur by making the OHE off, when the same coach was again found of having the problem of wheel jam. Again, the bolts were cut by TXR staff carefully and cleared the train to  the Wair loop line at 09:43 hrs. Thus he has rendered excellent service in the line of his duty with vigilance and full dedication.
