Press Release:RPF/ER CONTINUING LAUDABLE SERVICE TO ENSURE SECURITY AT RAILWAY PREMISES



Kolkata, April 23, 2023

RPF of Eastern Railway continuing their endeavour to ensure security of passengers at Railway premises with special emphasis to protective shield for women and children.

1.Under Operation Nanhe Fariste, o­n 21.04.2023, officials of RPF Post/Bhagalpur rescued 02 minor boys from Bhagalpur Railway Station. o­n enquiry it is known that they fled from their homes due to family discord. The rescued boys were handed over to Child line/Bhagalpur under due documentation for further disposal.  o­n the same day, officials of RPF Post/Bhagalpur have rescued a minor boy aged about 10 years from Bhagalpur Railway Station. He got separated from his relatives during journey and was handed over to Child Line/Bhagalpur under due documentation for further disposal.

2.Under Operation Upalabdh, Staff of RPF Post/Sitarampur o­n 20.04.2023, o­n 21.04.2023 raided a “On Line Centre” shop & recovered Laptop, Mobile Phone 05 valid Railway Reservation E-Tickets of valued ₹9341.15/-, 04 old Railway Reservation E-Tickets of valued ₹7727.25/- & other incriminating articles from his possession. The proprietor of the shop was involved in the surreptitious vending of spurious e-tickets by utilizing fraudulent identification of IRCTC. Subsequently, the aforementioned proprietor of the shop was taken into custody for further legal proceedings.

3.Under Operation Amanat, o­n 20.04.2023, acting o­n information of  Control Room/Asansol through Rail Madad, officials of RPF Post/Panagarh retrieved a left behind bag containing personal belongings total valued at ₹3000/- from Down Jammutawi-Kolkata Express at Panagarh Railway Station. Subsequently, o­n 21.04.2023 the recovered bag was handed over to its owner after proper verification & documentation.

4. On 21.04.2023, officials of RPF/ER arrested 32 persons who were travelling in compartment reserved for Ladies and prosecuted under the provision of Section 162 of Railway Act.

Press Release:CLOSURE OF TWO MANNED LEVEL CROSSING GATES IN SITARAMPUR – JHAJHA SECTION



Kolkata, February 22, 2023:

  Two manned level crossing gates no. 26/Spl/E in between Sankarpur & Jasidih stations and no. 25/A/E in between Mathurapur & Sankarpur stations in Sitarampur – Jhajha section over Asansol Division will be closed permanently with effect from 10.03.2023 and 05.03.2023 respectively for road users. The movement of road traffic will be diverted through newly constructed Limited Height Subway (LHS) located nearby.
