General Manager North Central Railway Shri Satish Kumar conducted midnight surprise inspection at level crossings, railway tracks and stations on midnight of 7/8, January, 2023, Shri Satish Kumar, General Manager, North Central Railway, conducted a surprise inspection at level crossings, railway tracks and stations. He did this inspection to check the vigil and level of knowledge of railway personnel and their safety related work procedures. In this sequence, he did surprise night inspection between Bamrauli and Manauri stations. During the inspection, he saw the working efficiency of the night track patrolling staff, safety equipment and alertness of the staff and gave necessary instructions to improve the work quality. It is worth to be mentioned that alertness and preparedness in the night duty are very important aspects specially during winter. During winters, the railway staff keep strict vigil specially in nights by patrolling the track continuously to check the railway tracks and keep an eye on the health and condition of the railway track. In the same sequence, Shri Satish Kumar also inspected the level crossing gate N4 located between Manauri and Bamrauli stations and tested the alertness and safety related knowledge of the railway personnel present there. He also gave instructions to the staff and other officers & personnel present regarding necessary improvements in the functioning. It is to be known that General Manager Shri. Satish Kumar has started a series of nightly surprise inspections after taking over as General Manager of North Central Railway on 7 November 2022. In these inspections, not only the alertness of the railway personnel is being tested, but due to these surprise inspection, the railway personnel are getting motivated to remain more alert and aware while on duty. 2

Sri Chandan Singh conferred with "Employee of the Month Award" for the month of September On 11.10.2022 General Manager, North Central Railway, Shri Pramod Kumar conferred awards to staff for their alertness and contribution towards safety in train operations in the presence of PHODs of North Central Railway. 05 Railway staff were conferred with Safety awards by the General Manager on the occasion. Awarded employees include Shri Vipul Kumar Rai/Station Master/Chakeri/Prayagraj Division, Shri Bhim Singh, Track Maintainer/Bidanpur/Prayagraj Division, Shri Shantanu Purohit, Station Manager/Zeron/Jhansi Division, Shri Lokesh, Track Maintainer/Palwal/Agra Division, Mr. Chandan Singh, Station Superintendent/Manauri/Prayagraj. Shri Chandan Singh has been awarded for the employee of the month of September. Shri Chandan Singh, while on duty, reported missing axle box cover of 6th coach from the engine of the train no. 14038. The train stopped on the Bamhrauli main line and got thoroughly checked and then brought carefully to Subedarganj, where the damaged coach replaced with another coach. Thus he has rendered excellent service in the line of his duty with vigilance and full dedication. The General Manager expressed his gratitude to the entire family by sending a letter of thanks to the wife of Shri Chandan Singh.
