REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR LAUNCHING OF FOOT OVER BRIDGE

Kolkata, 27^th January, 2023:

In view of Traffic-cum-Power block between Bhojudih-Santaldih-Rukni for launching of new Foot Over Bridge (FOB) Girders at Santaldih station of Adra division, the following train services will be regulated as under:

Cancellation of Trains:

·08671/ 08672 Adra-Bhaga-Adra MEMU Passenger Special will remain

cancelled o­n 29.01.2023.

Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:

·08677/08678 Bishnupur-Dhanbad-Bankura MEMU Passenger Special will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra o­n 29.01.2023. Therefore the service of 08677/ 08678 will remain cancelled between Adra-Dhanbad-Adra.

GENERAL MANAGER FELICITATES THREE RAILWAY EMPLOYEES FOR EXEMPLARY SAFETY WORK

Kolkata, 30^th August, 2022:        

Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway felicitated three railway employees at SER Headquarters, Garden Reach today (30.08.2022) for devotion to duty, safety consciousness and commendable performance as frontline staff.          The three employees who have been awarded are Shri Siddarth Kumar, Pointsman of Adra Division, Shri S K Choubey, Loco Pilot of Ranchi Division and Shri Aajesh Kumar, Asstt. Loco Pilot of Ranchi Division.   

On 24.08.2022, Sri Siddarth Kumar, o­n duty Pointsman, while exchanging “All right Signal” at Bhowra station of Adra Division detected o­ne Hot Axle wagon in a goods train. Sri Kumar immediately reported the matter to the o­n duty Station Manager of Bhowra. The train was controlled in Bhowra – Santaldih section by informing the train guard.  Later, the Hot Axle Wagon was detached from the train. Alertness and sincerity of Sri Siddarth Kumar played a major role to avert an accident.

       o­n 26.08.2022, when 22838 Ernakulam – Hatia Express was approaching Mahabuang in Rourkela- Hatia Section, Shri S K Choubey, Loco Pilot and Shri Aajesh Kumar, Asstt. Loco Pilot noticed that a tractor was stalled o­n railway track. Immediately they applied the emergency brake to stop the train. Thereby, the passenger carrying train was saved from a fatal collision.
