REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR BRIDGE MAINTENANCE WORK IN EAST CENTRAL RAILWAY

Kolkata, May 10, 2022:

For maintenance of bridge no 1 in between Samastipur & Muktapur stations, 06.00 hours (09:45 hrs. to 14.45 hrs.) Traffic & Power block has been planned o­n 14.05.2022 (Saturday) & 17.05.2022 (Tuesday). Consequently, 13043 Howrah - Raxaul Express (Journey Commencing o­n 13.05.2022) & 17005 Hyderabad Decan - Raxaul Express (Journey Commencing o­n 12.05.2022) will be diverted via Samastipur - Muzaffarpur - Sitamarhi instead of Samastipur - Darbhanga - Sitamarhi and 15553 Bhagalpur- Jaynagar Express (Journey Commencing o­n 14.05.2022) will be rescheduled by 120 minutes from Bhagalpur.

Inconvenience caused to the passengers is deeply regretted.

GENERAL MANAGER CONDUCTS ANNUAL INSPECTION OF ADRA DIVISION

Kolkata, 4^th March 2022 :

            Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway conducted Annual Inspection over Chandil-Purulia-Bokaro Steel City and Bokaro Steel City-Bhojudih sections of Adra Division along with the Principal Officers from SER Headquarters today (04-03-2022). Sri Manish Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager, Adra and other Divisional Officers were also present.

The inspection started from Chandil station where General Manager inaugurated Gang Rest Room and Renovated Reserved Lounge. She later inspected Purulia, Bokaro Steel City, Shewbabudih and Bhojudih stations in the section and suggested some developmental measures.

General Manager also inspected the major bridge o­n River Cossye and other minor Bridges, Railway Yard, Curve, Track Machines, Crew lobby, Health Unit, Manned Level Crossing, Normal Height Subway, Running Room, Waiting Room, Railway Colonies etc.Speed trials were conducted in Nimdih-Tamna and Damurughutu-Radhagaon sections to assess the condition of the railway track.      

During the inspection, General Manager inaugurated a Compost Plant and Sub-ordinate Rest House at Purulia. An Under Vehicle Scanner Machine and Gym-cum-Meditation Centre at Running Room of Bokaro Steel City were also inaugurated by the GM/SER.

General Manager has given priority to the amenities provided to the passengers and above all cleanliness at station premises. While conducting the inspection, Ms. Archana Joshi urged all officers and staff to be more careful o­n safety of train operations.

Smt. Sabita Mahato, Hon’ble MLA, Sri Sudip Kumar Mukherjee, Hon’ble MLA and other Public representatives of the area met the General Manager during the inspection and discussed about providing more facilities to the passengers.
