GENERAL MANAGER/EASTERN RAILWAY FLAGGED OFF BHARAT GAURAV TOURIST TRAIN FOR JYOTIRLINGA YATRA FROM KOLKATA STATION


Kolkata, May 20, 2023 :


Eastern India’s first Bharat Gaurav Tourist circuit train for Jyotirlinga Yatra commenced its journey from Kolkata station, today, as a step further towards  realizing  the vision of  Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to  showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the world. Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, elaborated that the introduction of theme-based tourist circuit Bharat Gaurav Trains will augment the core strength of the professionals of tourism sector would be leveraged to develop/identify tourist circuits and run theme- based trains to tap the vast tourism potential of India.

Passengers Boarding the Bharat Gaurav train for Jyotirlinga Yatra witnessed the historic moment of flagging off of this coveted train from Kolkata station , today by Shri Amar Prakash Dwivedi, General Manager/Eastern Railway in presence of Smt. Rajni Hasija, Chief Managing Director /IRCTC and Shri Zafar Azam, GGM/IRCTC/East Zone. 

Passengers of this Bharat Gaurav train, thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister for his vision about such theme-based tourist trains for pilgrimage and  expressed their happiness by getting the chance for the hassle free Jyotirlinga Yatra  by this Bharat Gaurav special tourist train which by  embarking its journey from Kolkata o­n May 20 , 2023 will be heading for Jyotirlinga temple destinations. It will cover the pilgrimage Omkareshwar, Mahakaleshwar, Somnath, Nageswar, and Trimbakeshwar and also Sainagar Shirdi over 11 nights and 12 days in a new LHB rake. It will cover Bandel Jn, Barddhaman, Bolpur Shantiniketan, Rampurhat, Pakur, Sahibganj Jn, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Jamalpur Jn within Eastern Railway’s jurisdiction. 

After covering the tour of Jyotirlingas at Ujjain, Vishvamitri, Veraval, Dwarka, Nasik & also the famous pilgrimage at Sainagar Shirdi and will return to Kolkata in the night of 31.05.2023. 

Speaking o­n the occasion , General Manager/Eastern Railway, Shri Amar Prakash Dwivedi said that, the Bharat Gaurav train is designed by the Government of India for most comfortable pilgrimage journey . He also interacted with the passengers o­n board and all the patrons of this train expressed their satisfaction regarding quality of service provided by Indian Railways in general and IRCTC in particular.

While Shri Amar Prakash Dwivedi, General Manager/Eastern Railway and Smt. Rajni Hasija, Chief Managing Director /IRCTC interacting with the passengers, many of the senior citizens o­n board repeatedly thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister and Hon’ble Minister of Railways for introduction of Bhaarat Gurav trains specially designed for pilgrimage.

FEW WR TRAINS AFFECTED DUE TO BLOCK BETWEEN
UDHNA – SURAT & KARAMBELI - VAPI SECTION

In order to carry out the work for Strengthening of Bridge approaches by Geocells for Bridge No. 445 between Udhna – Surat section and Bridge No. 275 in Karambeli – Vapi section, a block will be taken. The block will be undertaken o­n UP line from 12.10 hrs to 16.40 hrs for Bridge No. 445 and from 13.10 hrs to 17.40 hrs for Bridge No. 275, on Tuesday, 16th May, 2023. Similarly, a block will be undertaken o­n DOWN line from 09.10 hrs to 13.40 hrs for Bridge No. 275 and from 10.50 hrs to 15.20 hrs for Bridge No. 445, on Wednesday, 17th May, 2023. Due to these blocks, few Western Railway trains will be regulated and short terminated.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of these trains are as under:

Regulation of Trains o­n 16th May, 2023:

1.Train No. 22195 Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi – Bandra Terminus Superfast Express of 15th May, 2023 will be regulated by 4 hrs in Vadodara and Ratlam Divisions.

2.Train No. 19202 Porbandar – Secunderabad Express of 16th May, 2023 will be regulated by 3 hrs.

3.Train No. 19016 Porbandar – Dadar Saurashtra Express of 15th May, 2023 will be regulated by 2 hrs.

4.Train No. 12936 Surat – Bandra Terminus Intercity Express of 16th May, 2023 will be regulated by 25 minutes.

 

Short Termination of Trains o­n 16thMay, 2023:

1.Train No. 09159 Bandra Terminus – Vapi will be short terminated at Bhilad and Train No. 09144 Vapi – Virar will short – originate from Bhilad

2.    Train No. 09154 Valsad – Umargam will be short terminated at Vapi and Train No. 09153 Umargam – Valsad will short – originate from Vapi

 

Regulation of Trains o­n 17th May, 2023:

1.Train No. 19015 Dadar – Porbandar Saurashtra Express will be regulated by 01.25 hrs.

2.Train No. 12216 Bandra Terminus – Delhi Sarai Rohilla Garib Rath Express will be regulated by 25 minutes.

3.Train No. 09075 Mumbai Central - Kathgodam Superfast Special will be regulated by 1 hr.

4.   Train No. 12656 Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G.Ramachandran Central – Ahmedabad Navjeevan Express will be regulated by 01.55 hrs.

 

Short Termination of Trains o­n 17thMay, 2023:

1.Train No. 09085 Borivali – Valsad will be short terminated at Sanjan

2.Train No. 09087 Sanjan – Surat will be short terminated at Udhna and will be run as Train No. 19105 Udhna – Paldhi

3.Train No. 09159 Bandra Terminus – Vapi will be short terminated at Bhilad and Train No. 09144 Vapi – Virar will short – originate from Bhilad
