SER TRAIN SERVICES PARTIALLY AFFECTED DUE TO BHARAT BANDH

Kolkata, 28^th March, 2022:

The train services of South Eastern Railway have been partially affected today (28-3-2022)) due to Bharat Bandh called by some trade union organisations. Agitations over SER have been staged at various locations viz. Kulgachia, Domjur, Balasore and Uluberia in Kharagpur Division and Patasahi in Chakradharpur Division affecting passenger train operations.

Following trains got detained at different stations due to agitation:

Ø12891 Bangriposi-Bhubaneswar Express

Ø18044 Bhadrak-Howrah Express

Ø12842 Chennai-Shalimar Coromondal Express

Ø22808 Chennai-Santragachi AC Express

Ø08121 Birmitrapur-Barsuan Special

Ø38204 Bagnan-Howrah Local

Ø38202 Bagnan-Howrah Local

Ø38403 Howrah-Panskura Local

Ø38807 Howrah-Midnapur Local

Ø38906 Amta-Howrah Local

Ø38813 Howrah-Midnapur Local

Apart from the above, services of some goods trains were also affected due to agitation at some places over Chakradharpur and Adra Divisions of SER.

GENERAL MANAGER CONDUCTS ANNUAL INSPECTION OF

CHAKRADHARPUR DIVISION

Kolkata, 4^th February 2022 :

            Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway inspected different sections of Chakradharpur Division along with the Principal Officers from SER Headquarters today (04-02-2022). Sri Vijay Kumar Sahu, Divisional Railway Manager, Chakradharpur and other Divisional Officers were also present. The inspection started from Rangra station where General Manager inaugurated the Electronic Interlocking Building. Later, she has inspected the Barsuan and Bimalgarh stations and suggested some improvement measures. General Manager inaugurated the Remodelling Work of Barsuan Yard and Cover Shed & CC Flooring of Central Sick Line, Bondamunda during the inspection.

  Ms. Archana Joshi, inspected major & minor Railway Bridges, Railway Tracks, Limited Height Subway, Running Rooms, Track Machines, Health Units, Crew & Guard lobby, Railway Colony etc. General Manager has given priority to the facilities provided to the passengers and above all cleanliness at station premises.While conducting the inspection, Ms. Archana Joshi urged all officers and staff to be more careful o­n safety of train operations. She also met the public representative and media persons of the area.
