                                            SOME WR TRAINS AFFECTED DUE TO BLOCK BETWEEN 

UMROLI AND BOISAR STATION

In order to carry out the work of shifting/modification of existing overhead line a Traffic cum Power Block will be undertaken between Umroli & Boisar station from 18th to 21st May 2023 similarly, a Traffic cum Power Block will also be undertaken for launching of composite girder of Road over Bridge No. 129 A at Palghar Station o­n 21st May 2023. The block will be taken for a duration of 1 hrs. From 10.05 hrs to 11.05 hrs o­n both UP & DOWN lines between Umroli - Boisar station from 18thto 20th May 2023 and for a duration of 2 hrs. I.e. from 08.45 hrs to 10.45 hrs o­n both UP & DOWN lines between Palghar & Boisar station o­n 21st May, 2023. Due to these blocks, several WR trains will be regulated, short terminated/ partially cancelled. 

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, few WR trains will be affected. Details of the trains being affected are as under:

Regulation of Trains:

1.Train No. 12934 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central Karnavati Express of 18th, 19th, 20th May 2023 will be regulated by 35 mins.

2.Train No. 12990 Ajmer - Dadar Express of 18th, 20th will be regulated by 20 mins, and o­n 21st May 2023 will be regulated by 30 mins.

3.Train No. 09724 Bandra Terminus – Jaipur Weekly Special of 18th, May 2023 will be regulated by 20 mins.

4.Train No. 22952 Gandhidham – Bandra Terminus Superfast Express of 19th, May 2023 will be regulated by 40 mins.

5.Train No. 20483 Bhagat Ki Kothi – Dadar Superfast Express of 19th, May 2023 will be regulated by 20 mins.

6.Train No. 09207 Bandra Terminus – Bhavnagar Terminus of 19th, May 2023 will be regulated by 1.00 hr.

7.Train No. 19578 Jamnagar – Tirunelveli Express of 21st, May 2023 will be regulated by 01.30 hrs.

8.Train No. 12479 Jodhpur - Bandra Terminus Surya Nagri Express of 21st, May 2023 will be regulated by 01.00 hrs.

9.Train No. 12966 Bhuj – Bandra Terminus (Weekly) SF Express of 21st, May 2023 will be regulated by 01.00 hrs.

10.Train No.22956 Bhuj - Bandra Terminus Kutch Express of 21st, May 2023 will be regulated by 01.00 hrs.

Short – Termination/ Partially Cancelation:-

1.Train No. 19002 Surat – Virar Express of 21st, May 2023 will short terminate at Vangaon & remain partially cancelled between Vangaon and Virar.

2.Train No. 09143 Virar – Valsad of 21st, May 2023 will remain partially cancelled between Virar and Vangaon and will run between Vangaon and Valsad.

3.Train No. 01338 Dombivli – Boisar MEMU of 21st, May 2023 will be short terminated at Palghar and hence will be partially cancelled between Palghar and Boisar.

4.Train No. 01337 Boisar - Vasai Road MEMU of 21st, May 2023 will remain partially cancelled between Boisar and Palghar and will run between Palghar and Vasai Road.

Repercussions o­n Mumbai Suburban Train Services

Short – Termination/ Partially Cancelation o­n 18th, 19th & 20th May 2023

1.Train No. 93009 Churchgate – Dahanu Road local will be short terminated at Palghar and hence will be partially cancelled between Palghar and Dahanu Road.

2.Train No. 93010 Dahanu Road - Virar local will remain partially cancelled between Dahanu Road and Palghar and will run between Palghar and Virar.

3.Train No. 93011 Churchgate – Dahanu Road local will be short terminated at Palghar and hence will be partially cancelled between Palghar and Dahanu Road.

4.Train No. 93012 Dahanu Road - Virar local will remain partially cancelled between Dahanu Road and Palghar and will run between Palghar and Virar.

Short – Termination/ Partially Cancelation o­n 21st May 2023

1.Train No. 93007 Andheri – Dahanu Road local will be short terminated at Palghar and hence will be partially cancelled between Palghar and Dahanu Road.

2.Train No. 93008 Dahanu Road - Borivali local will remain partially cancelled between Dahanu Road and Palghar and will run between Palghar and Borivali.

3.Train No. 93009 Churchgate – Dahanu Road local will be short terminated at Palghar and hence will be partially cancelled between Palghar and Dahanu Road.

72 ‘One Station o­ne Product’ outlets across Maharashtra o­n 69 Railway Stations

Objective to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ vision and provide a market for local/indigenous products

Ministry of Railways had launched the ‘One Station o­ne Product’ (OSOP) scheme over Indian Railways with objectives to promote the ‘Vocal for Local’ vision of the Government of India, provide a market for local/indigenous products and create additional income opportunities for the marginalised sections of society. Under the scheme, OSOP outlets at railway stations are allotted for showcasing, selling and giving high visibility to indigenous/local products. The pilot of the scheme was started o­n 25.03.2022 and as of 15.05.2023, 69 railway stations are covered with 72 OSOP outlets across the state of Maharashtra. These OSOP stalls have been designed by the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad for uniformity throughout Indian Railways.

‘One Station o­ne Product’ is specific to that place and includes artefacts made by indigenous tribes, handlooms by local weavers, handicrafts like world-famous wood carving, chikankari and zari-zardozi work o­n clothes, or spices tea, coffee and other processed/semi-processed food items/products indigenously grown in the area.

In Maharashtra, various products at OSOP outlets at railway stations include Banana, Grapes, papad, pickles at Ahmednagar, Sambarvadi at Badnera, leather products at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai, homemade agarbatti, dhoop, soap, phenyl at Chinchwad, leather products at Churchgate, Khadi products at Goregaon, seasonal fruits and food products like Papaya, Grapes, Apples, pickles, papad etc at Igatpuri, handmade Kolhapuri Chappal at Kolhapur, Wooden Toys at Kankavali and Kudal, Chikki and fudge products at Lonavala, Paithani sarees at Nashik Road, Lord Vitthal idols, Kumkum, Agarbatti and other Puja items at Pandharpur, Bamboo products at Nagpur, textiles And handlooms at Parel, handmade purse bags (made from paper & cloth) at Pimpri, Kandi Pedha at Satara, Papad at Shegaon, Solapuri bedsheets and towels at Solapur, Warli art and craft at Vapi & Borivali, soft toys at Vasai Road & Nallasopara etc.
