During Pandemic period and following lockdown, train services were run by Railways following all COVID protocols. Train services were introduced in phased manner and all the services were run as Mail/Express special trains with o­nly reserved coaches. Passenger trains and opening up of coaches for unreserved passengers were introduced in limited sectors and fewer trains in a graded fashion. Recently, Southern Railway has restored unreserved second class accommodation in 192 trains originating from Southern Railway which has been notified o­n 07.03.2022 for restoration of unreserved coaches o­n various dates of journey commencement.

Now, North Western Railway has partially de-reserved the Second Class Sitting Accommodation in trains originating from North Western Railway bound for Southern Railway destinations with effect from 11^th March 2022.

Accordingly the details of Partially De-Reserved Second Class Sitting Coaches in trains Originating from Southern Railway, bound for North Western Railway are as follows:-

All the Second Class Sitting Coaches of the above trains will be de-reserved from Southern Railway end with effect from 30^th June 2022, Except Train No. 12969 Coimbatore Jn – Jaipur Weekly Superfast Express and Train No. 22674 Mannargudi – Bhagatkikothi Weekly Superfast Express, which will be fully de-reserved from 22.4.2022 and 16.5.2022 respectively. 

Till such time that all the Second Class Sitting Coaches of the above trains are               fully de-reserved, the trains will run with some reserved Second Class Sitting Coaches for the benefit of passengers who have already reserved their accommodation and the position of the reserved coaches in those trains will be indicated in the Coach itself.
