RPF/ER PROVIDES ALL ROUND SECURITY TO THE PASSENGERS Kolkata, December 17, 2022 Railway Protection Force (RPF)/Eastern Railway plays a pro-active role to provide all round security on 24x7 basis to the rail users ranging from rescuing teenaged boys & girls, arresting touts, recovering narcotics, unaccounted cash and left behind bags. They have also made commendable works to extend guidance & assistance to the rail users besides their task of ensuring security to the passengers. 1.On 15.12.2022, under “Operation Sewaâ€, acting on information of Station Master/Sitarampur, officials of RPF Post/Sitarampur & GRPS/Sitarampur rescued an injured male person lying at PF No. 02 of Sitarampur Railway Station. Necessary assistance was rendered and shifted him to SD Hospital Asansol for better treatment after giving first aid by Railway Health Unit, Sitarampur. on the same day, officials of RPF Post/Howrah (Central) rescued an injured male person who was lying at PF No. 12 of Howrah Railway Station. on enquity, it was found that, he fell down while boarding into Howrah-Paskura Local train and sustained injury. Necessary assistance was rendered and shifted him to General Hospital Howrah for treatment. 2.On 15.12.2022, under “Operation Mahila Surakshaâ€, officials of RPF/ER arrested 74 persons who were travelling in compartment reserved for Ladies and prosecuted under the provision of section 162 of Railway Act. 3.On 15.12.2022, under “Operation Aahtâ€, officials of RPF Post/Asansol (West) & CIB/Asansol rescued 06 Bangladeshi teenage girls from Asansol station and arrested 02 foreign male persons who were trafficking the girls. All the illegally migrant persons were handed over to GRPS/Asansol for further course of action. 4.On 15.12.2022, under “Operation Amanatâ€, acting on information through Rail Madad, officials of RPF Post/Asansol (West) retrieved a left behind bag containing Cash ₹ 10,000/-, Laptop, Camera, Charger, documents, personal belongings total valued ₹ 1,10,000/- from PF No. 04 at Asansol Railway Station and was handed over to its owner after proper verification & documentation. on the same day, RPF Train Escort officials of Train No. 22323 UP (Shabd Bhedi Express) retrieved a left behind camera valued ₹ 47,000/- from Kolkata Railway Station. Press Release ER TO RUN ELEVEN MORE FULLY RESERVED SPECIAL TRAINS IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS Kolkata, December 4, 2020 To clear the rush of passengers, Eastern Railway will run fully reserved special trains between Kolkata & Jaynagar, Kolkata & Ghazipur City (via Patna), Kolkata & Ghazipur City (via Dhanbad), Kolkata & Agra Cantt., Kolkata & Shilghat Town, Howrah & Bolpur, Howrah & Asansol, Howrah & Malda, Howrah & Rampurhat, Sealdah & Ballia and Sealdah & Amritsar. §03135 Kolkata – Jaynagar Special will leave Kolkata at 20:55 hrs. on Saturdays w.e.f. 12.12.2020 to reach Jaynagar at 10:45 hrs. on the next day and 03136 Jaynagar – Kolkata Special will leave Jaynagar at 12:42 hrs. on Sundays w.e.f. 13.12.2020 to reach Kolkata at 03:50 hrs. on the next day. The train will run as per existing link of 13135/13136 Kolkata – Jaynagar – Kolkata Express.
