  As announced by Hon’ble Minister of Railways Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji during his recent visit to Koraput & Malkanagiri Districts, East Coast Railway has provided stoppage of Hirakhand, Samaleswari & Rourkela-Jagadalpur Express at Lakshmipur Road Station and Visakhapatnam-Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Express at Bacheli from Wednesday o­nwards.


18447/18448 Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express from Bhubaneswar w.e.f. 27th April and from Jagadalpur w.e.f. 26th April will have stoppage at Lakshmipur Road. This train from Bhubaneswar will arrive at Lakshmipur Road at 0710hrs and will leave at 0712hrs. This train from Jagadalpur will arrive at Lakshmipur Road at 2030hrs and will leave at 2032hrs.


18005/18006 Howrah-Jagadalpur-Howrah Samaleswari Express from Howrah w.e.f. 26th April and from Jagadalpur w.e.f. 27th April will have stoppage at Lakshmipur Road. This train from Howrah will arrive at Lakshmipur Road at 1740hrs and will leave at 1742hrs. This train from Jagadalpur will arrive at Lakshmipur Road at 0850hrs and will leave at 0852hrs.


18107/18108 Rourkela-Jagadalpur-Rourkela Express from Rourkela w.e.f. 27th April and from Jagadalpur w.e.f. 26th April will have stoppage at Lakshmipur Road. KORAPUT-VISAKHAPATNAM DAILY PASSENGER SPECIAL FLAGGED OFF: 

Hon’ble Minister of Railways Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji flagged off from Koraput Railway Station 


 
Hon’ble Minister of Railways and Communication & Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw in his visit to Koraput and Malkanagiri Districts o­n 22.04.2022 flagged off of Visakhapatnam-Koraput-Visakhapatnam Daily Passenger Special from Koraput Railway Station. 


The regular run of this train will commence w.e.f. 23.04.2022 from Visakhapatnam and w.e.f. 24.04.2022 from Koraput. This train will leave Koraput at 08.10a.m, daily and will reach at Visakhapatnam at 05.35p.m. o­n the return direction, this will leave Visakhapatnam at 06.30a.m. and will arrive at Koraput at 03.45p.m. This train will have stoppages at important Stations via Rayagada and Vizianagaram.  


Earlier, at Malkanagiri, Shri Vaishnaw discussed about Malkanagiri - Bhadrachalam Rail Line Project with Railway officials, public representatives at Malkanagiri and reviewed the progress of Railway Infrastructure in Koraput and Malkanagiri Districts. Apart from this he also reviewed Central Government provisions with State Government officials. 


He also announced that, Samaleswari Express, Hirakhand Express and Jagadalpur-Rourkela Express will provide stoppage at Laxmipur Road. Similarly, Samata & Swarna Jayanti Express will have LHB Coaches. Apart from this, Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Night Express will provide stoppage at Bacheli. 


Inspecting the Koraput Station, Shri Vaishnaw interacted with Passengers, public & took feedback of cleanliness of trains & Stations. 


Later, Shri Vaishnaw inspected the Koraput-Visakhapatnam Railway Section and o­ngoing doubling work between Koraput ad Kottavalasa Railway Section before departure to Delhi.
