RPF/ER PROVIDES SECURITY TO THE RAILWAY PASSENGERS TIRELESSLY o­n 24X7 BASIS

 Kolkata, August 21, 2021:

 1)On 17.8.2021, acting o­n source information, RPF Post/Nabadwip Dham arrested a tout from his shop and recovered 12 Railway old e-tickets valued Rs. 28,658/- and other incriminating articles from his possession.

 2)On 16.8.2021, o­n receipt of information from Station Manager, Uttarpara, officers & staff of RPF Post/Bally & GRP/Belur rescued an injured male person at Uttarpara Railway station. o­n query, it could be learnt that he was in intoxicated condition & had slipped and fallen down o­n platform no. 2 & sustained injury. Necessary assistance was rendered and he was shifted to Uttarpara S. G. Hospital for treatment.

 3)On 17.8.2021, o­n duty staff of RPF Post/Malda recovered two unclaimed mobile phones valued Rs. 23.000/- from 03159 Kolkata – Jogbani special at Malda Railway station and subsequently handed over to its owner after proper verification & documentation.

 4)On 17.8.2021, officers & staff of RPF Post/Ranaghat recovered an unclaimed mobile phone valued Rs. 10,500/- from new foot over bridge of Ranaghat Railway station which was subsequently handedover to its owner after verification & documentation.

ER OBSERVED INTERNATIONAL LEVEL CROSSING AWARENESS DAY

 

Kolkata, June 11, 2020:

Eastern Railway has launched an awareness campaign today o­n the occasion of observance of International Level Crossing Awareness Day .

 

Awareness building campaign has been conducted at important level crossing gates over four Divisions of ER viz. Asansol, Howrah, Malda & Sealdah in which Safety Officers, Supervisors were participated under the guidance of Chief Safety Officer, Eastern Railway.

 

Massive awareness campaign has been organised o­n this occasionat the LC Gates at Barrackpore, Baruipur, Bagbazar, BBD Bag, Krishnanagar, Bally, Uttarpara, Srirampur, Seoraphuly and all other important LC Gates over ER.

Awareness building leaflets and brochures o­n guidelines for passing through the LC Gates and dangers of passing through the level crossing in closed condition etc were distributed among the persons approached to LC Gate for building mass awareness towards observing the safety rules at level crossings. Counselling of Level Crossing Gate users were also conducted at several places to build the habit of observing safety rules.

 

Everywhere social distancing and all other hygienic stipulations are being maintained.
