दकà¥à¤·à¤¿à¤£à¤ªà¥‚रà¥à¤µà¤°à¥‡à¤²à¤µà¥‡ SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY पà¥à¤°à¥‡à¤¸à¤µà¤¿à¤œà¥à¤žà¤ªà¥à¤¤à¤¿ PRESS RELEASE GM INAUGURATES WATER RECYCLING-CUM-EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT AT SANTRAGACHI AND AUTOMATIC COACH WASHING PLANT AT PADMAPUKUR, SHALIMAR Kolkata, 7th April, 2022: Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway inaugurated a Water Recycling-cum-Effluent Treatment Plant at Santragachi and an Automatic Coach Washing Plant at Padmapukur, Shalimar today (07.04.2022). Sri P K Mandal, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, Sri Manoranjan Pradhan, Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur and other Senior Officers were also present. South Eastern Railway is known for its environment friendly measures and the Water Recycling-cum-Effluent Treatment Plant at Santragachi is an addition to that list. The plant with a capacity of 100 KLD has been commissioned at a cost of Rs.69 lakh. Waste water generated after cleaning of coaches contains various chemical elements. This EffluentTreatment Plant recycles the polluted waterby filtration and makes it ready for reuse. SER is also committed to provide clean and hygienic travel experience to its valued passengers. The Automatic Coach Washing Plant has been installed at Padmapukur Coaching Depot, Shalimar at a cost of Rs.1.68 crore. This plant is sensor based and can wash a full train of 24 coaches within 7-8 minutes. The washing procedure is totally automatic and can be operated practically without any manpower. This is a highly cost effective method using minimum water for washing the exterior of train coaches. Later, the General Manager has also inspected the construction works being undertaken at Shalimar Station to develop it as a full fledged terminal of South Eastern Railway. ......... 2

दकà¥à¤·à¤¿à¤£ पूरà¥à¤µ रेलवे SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY पà¥à¤°à¥‡à¤¸ विजà¥à¤žà¤ªà¥à¤¤à¤¿ PRESS RELEASE UNDER CONSTRUCTION COVER OVER PLATFORM COLLAPSES AT SHALIMAR Kolkata, 30th September, 2019: One under construction cover over platform outside passenger area collapsed at Shalimar Station at about 15:00 hours today (30/9/2019). No passenger has been injured. The construction work is being executed by IRCON as a part of Shalimar Station Development Project. As per information received, injury of construction workers has been reported and shifted to hospital where Dukha Chaupal was declared dead and Alamgir Mallik is under treatment. Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur with Divisional Officers attended the site, along with Senior Officials of S E Railway Headquarters and IRCON to supervise rescue operation. The concrete structure was casted in May 2019 and its scaffolding was being removed when it collapsed. High Level Inquiry Committee has been formed by Sri Sanjay Kumar Mohanty, General Manager, S E Railway consisting of multi disciplinary officers. As a result of the incident, train service has been partially disrupted due to damage of Over Head Equipment(OHE). 18007 Shalimar-Bhanjpur-Simlipal Express will be short originated from Santragachi instead of Shalimar today. Moreover, 22641 Thiruvananthapuram-Shalimar Express will be short terminated at Padmapukur, 22862 Adra-Shalimar Rajya Rani Express will be short terminated at Santragachi and 12886 Bhojudih-Shalimar Aranyak Express will be short terminated at Santragachi today. *************** | ||||||||
