GM/ER INSPECTED DIFFERENT AMENITIES & FACILITIES AT HOWRAH STATION

 

Kolkata, September 7, 2021:

 

Eastern Railway always accords top priority o­n providing quality service to the passengers. Shri Arun Arora, General Manager, Eastern Railway inspected different amenities & facilities at Howrah station complex today (7.9.2021) to inspect and examine scope of further improvement in respect of providing better quality services and amenitiesto the passengers.

      Shri Arun Arora, GM/ER inspected Booking Counters, Upper Class Waiting Hall, Jan Aahaar, Food Plaza, platform cleanliness, seating arrangements, Digital Reservation Chart Display at platforms, Unreserved Ticketing Counters, IRCTC Sampath Rail Yatri Niwas and other passenger amenities at both Howrah Old & New Complexes. He also interacted with the passengers at Howrah station for getting direct feedback. GM expressed his satisfaction over the maintenance of the passenger amenities & facilities at Howrah station and advised all concerned to perform even better for more comfort of the passengers as there is always scope of improvement.

 Today, GM/ER also interacted with divisional officers of Howrah divisionand instructed them to work o­n war footing in increasing non-fare revenues and surpassing the loading targetof Howrah division, i.e., 18.74 Million Ton for the F.Y. 2021-22. He has further reiterated to put special stress o­n 3 aspects of zero tolerance regardingsafety, avoiding departmentalism and financial & professional integrity of Railway officials.

SER EMERGES CHAMPIONS IN 34TH ALL INDIA

RAILWAY BODY BUILDING CHAMPIONSHIP

Kolkata, 10th February, 2020:

South Eastern Railway emerged Champions in the 34th All India Railway Body Building Championship held at Chakradharpur from 6th to 8th February, 2020. The tournament was organised by South Eastern Railway Sports Association (SERSA). The 2nd and 3rd positions were bagged by Central Railway and South Western Railway respectively.

S E Railway has consecutively bagged 1st Position in the last 7 years in the All India Railway Body Building Championship. The Gold Medal Winners of S E Railway’s team was N Sarbo Singh, Ram Niwas, Rahul Bisht and Javed Ali Khan in different categories. N Sarbo Singh of S E Railway was declared as the Champion of Champions.

As many as 11 teams of different Zonal Railways and Production Units including Railway Board participated in the tournament.

Sri Sanjay Kumar Mohanty, General Manager, S E Railway felicitated the members of S E Railway Body Building Team in a function held at S E Railway Headquarters, Garden Reach today (10/02/2020).
