Second meeting of 09th Zonal Railway User and Consultative Committee of North Central Railway organized ZRUCC condemned the recent violence and consequent damage to the railways in recent Agneepath agitation “Everyone has a right to express his views but it should be in a peaceful & in constitutional manner“ Hon’ble MP Shri Vinod Sonkar Today, the second meeting of the 09th Zonal Railway Users and Consultative Committee of North Central Railway was organized at Hotel Kanha Shyam Auditorium in Prayagraj. 44 Members of Zonal Rail Users and Consultative Committee were present in this meeting. The committee unanimously condemned the recent violence and damage to the railway property in recent Agneepath agitation While speaking about the recent agitation in meeting Shri Vind Sonkar Hon’ble MP Kaushambi condemned it and said everyone has right to express his views but it should be done peacefully and in a constitutional manner. He also suggested the approved list of products for stalls at stations should be provided to members so they can check it while inspecting the stations. Addressing the meeting on the occasion, Shri Pramod Kumar, General Manager said that “Railway is the lifeline of the nation and it contributes significantly to the development. There has always been a huge gap between demand and supply of railway, one of the main reasons for this being capacity constraints. There has been a very positive change in the railways in the last few years. We have taken substantial steps in the working of our Railways in all areas including enhancement of line capacity, upgradation of passenger amenities, safe running of trains, employee welfare, green initiatives for protection of environment. Another new change has also come in the working style of rail. To make a positive diagnosis of the needs of the general public and to prioritize the works and to invest in such projects, which can benefit the public at the earliest. He further said that the year 2021-22 was a challenging year. It started with the second wave of Covid, which not only affected all sectors of the economy, but had engulfed the entire humanity. In this difficult situation, North Central Railway, an important part of Indian Railways, living up to the call of the nation, made a commendable contribution in ensuring the supply of essential commodities through all available means and providing transportation facility to the workers to reach their homes. Shri Pramod Kumar also apprised the members of the committee that, “One Station one Product Scheme in North Central Railway was implemented on pilot basis on 25.03.2022. Under this scheme, stalls are being allotted at one station to sell the famous product in that place/city and till now stalls have been allotted at 13 railway stations for this scheme and the product is being sold. In the near future this scheme will be implemented at other selected railway stations alsoâ€. Shri Pramod Kumar informed that, “Action was taken against 4988 illegal vendors with the aim of curbing the activities of illegal vendors. In the last financial year, action was taken against 3406 people with a view to curb unprovoked alarm chain pulling. In the drive against illegal sale of tickets and illegal vending, 140 unauthorized ticket agents were arrested and action was taken against them. Members ZRUCC Shri Viay Arora and Shri Pradum Jaiswal demanded Prayagraj to Lucknow Shatabdi train & increase in the frequency of Mumbai Duronto. Shri Shri Krishna Gautam thanked the Railway Administration for the work of second entry at Tundla station and also raised the issue of stoppage of various trains at Tundla station and demanded plantation of saplings in the park. In this sequence, Shri Sunil Pandey and Ranjan Upadhyay, from Aligarh, expressed the need to stop Vande Bharat train at Aligarh station. Shri Sunil Singh Parihar demanded arrangements for doctors and police in trains as well as new Jhansi-Mainpuri train and Shri Naval Singh Parmar drew attention to aspects related to drinking water and catering at various stations of Agra. Shri Gyaneshwar Shukla of Chitrakoot expressed the demand for beautification of the local park. Demand to expedite the work of gauge conversion in Gwalior was also raised. During the meeting, issues like stoppage of trains at various stations, waterlogging in rail underpass were raised by various members. Shri Gyanendra Srivastava of Prayagraj appreciated the efforts of Railway Administration and asked for timely completion of projects. In today's meeting, the election of the member of National Railway Users and Consultative Committee was also held. In this election, out of three members Shri Pradeep Kumar Tiwari, Shri Sunil Singh Parihar and Shri Shri Krishna Gautam, respected members elected Shri Shri Krishna Gautam. The election was conducted by Deputy Chief Personnel Officer Shri MK Kulshrestha. Today's meeting was conducted by Deputy General Manager/G Shri Ankur Chandra. During the meeting, a power point presentation was also made by Dy CCM St Krishna Tiwari about the work done by North Central Railway and the proposed plans. Central Railway Press Release Countdown Event to IDY2022 at CSMT Heritage Building of Central Railway CR officials practices Yoga on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and as Countdown Event to IDY2022. The United Nations General Assembly recognized 21st June as the International Day of Yoga at the initiative of Hon`ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in 2014 via a unanimous vote. The theme of this year (2022) of International Day of Yoga is “Yoga for Humanityâ€. As a precursor to IDY2022, countdown event at 75 heritage/ iconic sites of tourist importance across the country promoting India Branding (Monument in the Background) has been organised. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. Central Railway organised the Countdown Event at the CSMT heritage building. It coincides with 75th year of India’s Independence - Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. Volunteers of Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti, Mumbai practiced the yoga session and officials of Central Railway followed at the heritage precinct. Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager, Central Railway, Smt. Menu Lahoti, President, Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (CRWWO), Shri Manoj Arora, Commissioner of Railway Safety, Central Circle, Principal Heads of Departments of Central Railway along with their spouses were present at the heritage precinct and participated in the yoga session. Dr. A.K. Sinha, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Central Railway and team coordinated the session. Full body stretch-Tad Asana, hand exercise, neck exercise, back exercise - forward bending, side stretching, sahaj pranayama, kapalabhati, etc., yoga exercises were practiced. Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager while addressing said that Yoga helps us fight stress and diseases. Yoga is to be practiced not just an exercise but as our lifestyle which will help us to be agile and healthy. Later, he interacted with the media and informed about the countdown event to international day of yoga on 21.6.2022.
