SWR CELEBRATED 2^nd AUDIT DIWAS

Office of the Director General of Railway Audit, South Western Railway, Hubballi celebrated the 2^nd Audit Diwas and Audit week from 16.11.2022 to 22.11.2022.

During this week activities lie audit run, essay writing competition, Articles writings and quiz competitions were held o­n 22.11.2022, in the valedictory programme Shri Sanjeev Kishor, General Manager, SWR, Hubballi distributed the prizes for winners of the competition.

In the valedictory programme, Shri R. Naresh, Director General of Audit welcomed the chief guest. He mentioned that the concept celebrating the Audit Diwas is initiated by comptroller and Auditor General of India, Shri Girish Chandra Murmu.

He explained the three forms of audit namely, financial and attest audit, compliance audit and performance audit. During the financial year 2022-23 three Performance Audits and o­ne compliance Audit is being undertaken.

In his valedictory address Shri Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager, South Western Railway highlighted the importance of audit and explained the area to be covered by audit. He also emphasized use of technology and data analytics. Audit should use database available in various platforms and perform the data analysis to arrive at the audit observations. Shri M. Dinesh Naika, Director of audit presented the vote of thanks.

As a part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2021, South Western Railway organized ‘Gram Sabha Awareness’ programme at Kundgol village o­n 30.10.2021.

            The awareness programme was organized to bring awareness among villagers and students about fake recruitment drive and fraudulent job offers. Other aspects such as ticket touting, concessional offers for children and senior citizens, precaution to be observed in level crossing, educating villagers in case of Railway accidents and precautions o­n Railway electrical equipment and 25kv wires in stations were also covered.

            Speaking o­n the occasion, Shri Milind Deouskar, SDGM & CVO said that o­ne should be aware with the rules and regulations. This way the scope for corruption is brought down. He also called for students and youth to not fall prey for various fake job campaigns.

            Shri Anweshkumar Aileni, Dy.CVO (S&M) presenting the welcome address called for students and youths to follow and integrity and ethics in all aspects of their life. Shri H.T. Madakari Naika, AVO (G) presented vote of thanks.

            Shri Basavanajjanavar Kalyanapur presided over the function. Shri Wagesh Gangai, President, Kundgol Town Panchayat and other members of Kundgol Town Panchayat were also present o­n the occasion.
