Commissioner of Railway Safety to hold Statutory Inspection between Nanguneri – Melappalaiyam Doubling cum Electrification Completed Section

High-Speed trial run will also be conducted in Nanguneri - Melappalaiyam Section

Commissioner of Railway Safety, Southern Circle, Bengaluru will be conducting a Statutory Inspection in the Doubling cum Electrification Completed Section between Nanguneri and Melappalaiyam stations in the Thiruvananthapuram Division o­n 24^th March, 2023 (Friday)

Furthermore, Shri Anant Madhukar Chowdhary, Commissioner of Railway Safety, Southern Circle, Bengaluru will also conduct a high-speed trial run in the Doubling cum Electrification Completed Section between Nanguneri - Melappalaiyam Station o­n 24^th March, 2023 (Friday) between 15.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs.

All users of railway lines between Nanguneri - Melappalaiyam section of Thiruvananthapuram Division are hereby cautioned not to approach/trespass the Railway lines.

Partial cancellation was notified in view of Line Block/Power Block for commissioning of doubling work in Tirunelveli – Nagercoil Section between Nanguneri – Melappalaiyam Stations vide press release no 724 dated 13^th March, 2023. However, due to change in dates of line block, the pattern of train services has been revised as detailed below:

vTrain No. 20691 Tambaram – Nagercoil Antyodaya Express leaving Tambaram Jn at 23.00 hrs o­n 18^th, 19^th, 20^th, 21^st, 22^nd & 23^rd March, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli and Nagercoil. The train will be short terminated at Tirunelveli (The train was earlier notified as partial cancellation o­n 16^th and 17^th and this date has been changed to 22^nd and 23^rd March and the trains will run to its normal schedule o­n 16^th & 17^th March, 2023)

vTrain No. 20692 Nagercoil – Tambaram Antyodaya Express leaving Nagercoil Jn at 15.50 hrs o­n 19^th, 20^th, 21^st, 22^nd, 23^rd and 24^th March, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil and Tirunelveli. The train will commence service from Tirunelveli at its scheduled departure time of 17.05 hrs (The train was earlier notified as partial cancellation o­n 17^th and 18^th and this date has been changed to 23^rd and 24^th March, 2023 and the trains will run to its normal schedule o­n 17^th & 18^th March, 2023)

vTrain No. 22627 Tiruchchirappalli – Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Express leaving Tiruchchirappalli Jn at 07.20 hrs o­n 19^th, 20^th, 21^st, 22^nd, 23^rd & 24^th March, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli and Thiruvananthapuram Central. The train will be short terminated at Tirunelveli (The train was earlier notified as partial cancellation o­n 17^th and 18^th and this date has been changed to 23^rd and 24^th March, 2023 and the trains will run to its normal schedule o­n 17^th & 18^th March, 2023)

vTrain No. 22628 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Tiruchchirappalli Superfast Express leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central at 11.35 hrs o­n 19^th, 20^th, 21^st, 22^nd, 23^rd & 24^th March, 2023 will be partially cancelled between   Thiruvananthapuram Central and Tirunelveli. The train will commence service from Tirunelveli at its scheduled departure time of 14.30 hrs (The train was earlier notified as partial cancellation o­n 17^th and 18^th and this date has been changed to 23^rd and 24^th March, 2023 and the train will run to its normal schedule o­n 17^th & 18^th March, 2023)

vTrain No. 22657 Tambaram – Nagercoil Superfast Tri-weekly Express leaving Tambaram Jn at 19.30 hrs o­n 22^nd March, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Virudunagar and Nagercoil. The train will be short terminated at Virudunagar

vTrain No. 22658 Nagercoil – Tambaram Superfast Tri-weekly Express leaving Nagercoil Jn at 16.15 hrs o­n 23^rd March, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil and Virudunagar. The train will commence service from Virudunagar at its scheduled departure time of 19.30 hrs

vTrain No. 12667 Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil Weekly Express leaving Chennai Egmore at 18.55 hrs o­n 23^rd March, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Virudunagar and Nagercoil. The train will be short terminated at Virudunagar

vTrain No. 12668 Nagercoil – Chennai Egmore Weekly Express leaving Nagercoil at 16.15 hrs o­n 24^th March, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil and Virudunagar. The train will commence service from Virudunagar at its scheduled departure time of 19.30 hrs
