SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN SANTRAGACHI AND PATNA

 

 

Kolkata, 13th October, 2022:

 

With a view to clear the extra rush of passengers during Chhath Festival, South Eastern Railway has decided to run o­ne pair of Special Train between Santragachi-Patna-Santragachi leaving Santragachi o­n 28.10.2022 and leaving Patna o­n 29.10.2022.

 

08109 Santragachi-Patna Special will leave Santragachi at 14.55 hrs o­n 28.10.2022 and will reach Patna at 10.30 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, 08110 Patna-Santragachi Special will depart Patna o­n 29.10.2022 at 11.30 hrs and will reach Santragachi at 04.20 hrs, the next day.

 

The train with two AC 2 Tier, three AC 3 Tier, twelve Sleeper Class and three General Second Class coaches will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Purulia, Muri, Ranchi and Lohardaga stations in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction. .

SER CELEBRATES “HAR GHAR TIRANGA” FROM 13th TO 15th AUGUST

TO COMMEMORATE 75 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

SER TO OBSERVE “PARTITION HORRORS REMEMBRANCE DAY” o­n 14th AUGUST

 

Kolkata, 12th August, 2022:

 

South Eastern Railway along with other zones of Indian Railways is celebrating the 75 years of Indian Independence in a befitting manner. SER will celebrate the event, “Har Ghar Tiranga” under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” to encourage the citizens to hoist the National Flag at their residential premises from 13th to 15thAugust, 2022. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about our National Flag.

 

To commemorate the occasion, National Flags have been distributed to the employees for hoisting the flag at their residential buildings.

 

During the celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, SER will also observe “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” o­n 14th August, 2022 to highlight the tragedy of the partition and the agony of the people who suffered during the partition. In this connection, Photo Exhibitions will be organised at different stations of South Eastern Railway. The Photo Exhibitions will be organised at Adra, Bokaro, Bankura and Burnpur stations of Adra Division, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Sini and Tatanagar stations of Chakradharpur Division, Hatia, Ramgarh, Lohardaga, Bano, Pokla and Govindpur stations of Ranchi Division, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhogpur, Shalimar, Tamluk, Digha and Ghatsila stations of Kharagpur Division.

 

Different programmes will also be organised at the stations o­n this day involving the Freedom Fighters, their family members and the persons who have suffered the tragedy of partition. Patriotic songs will be played during the celebration and Selfie Points have been put up at different stations for public and passengers to celebrate the event, “HarGhar Tiranga”.
