HIGH LEVEL CO-ORDINATION MEETING WITH STATE POLICE AUTHORITIES HELD 

AT ER HQ

Kolkata, November 22, 2019:

A high Level Co-ordination Meeting with GRP Chiefs of West Bengal, Bihar & Jharkhand, RPF Officers and Railway Officials of Eastern Railway was held at GM’s New Conference Hall, Fairile Place Kolkata o­n 22.11.2019. The meeting was chaired by GM/ER, Shri Suneet Sharma.

GM/ER emphasised o­n the heavy encroachments o­n railway stations and alongside of railway tracks especially in suburban section of Sealdah and loss of punctuality. GM/ER requested for assistance of state authority in addressing this particular issue. Sri Sharma also stressed for more consolidated effort by RPF and GRP securing vital railway installations during Bandh and Dharnas. He also informed that agitation o­n Railway track for non-railway issues is another concern. Strict legal action against offenders needs to be taken under preview of law. GM/ER emphasised that every possible infrastructure will be provided to GRP as per extent rules to facilitate force to work in a better environment. He also stress upon need to work in a coordinated manner by RPF & GRP to ensure safety & Security of women & Children, the focus area of Railways.

DG&IG(P)/Railways, West Bengal, Shri Adhir Sharma highlighted issue of requirement of office, Barrack & Quarters for GRP personnel which require immediate attention. He also raised issues like requirement of proper guidelines for shifting of injured persons from railway track/platform to nearby hospital, requirement of logistics for doing so and requirement of mortuary at major stations for preserving the dead bodies found o­n railway tracks. Shri Sharma appreciated issues of railways regarding encroachment o­n PF area and Railway land speciallyin suburban section of Eastern Railway i.e in Sealdah & Howrah Division. He urged Railway administration to ensure repairing of FOBs and proper and timely announcement to avoid any untoward incident.

IG/RPF Shri A. N. Mishra emphasised upon the crime like, theft of passenger belongings in the state of West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand and also talked about issues of left wing             extremism in Bihar & Jharkhand portion of Eastern Railways. Indian Railways has taken several initiatives to counter this and bringing major stations under station security plan in order to minimize subversive activities. More than 400 stations of ER are being covered under CCTV surveillance. He said that RPF & GRP are jointly doing dynamic escorting in majority of mail/Exp. trains including premium trains like Rajdhani ,Duronto&Shatabdi.

During this meeting, all stake holders agreed to work in a better co-ordinated manner at every level to ensure safety and security of passengers.

This meeting was attended by AGM/ER, IG/RPF,CLW-CRJ, principal heads of Eastern Railways, DIG/Metro Railways, DIG/RPF/ER, Senior officers  of RPF and GRP.

DIVERSION OF TRAINS FOR NON-INTERLOCKING WORK OVER

SOUTH EAST CENTRAL RAILWAY

Kolkata, November 20, 2019

          In connection with provision of third & fourth line connectivity, non-interlocking work will be done in Bilaspur Division of South East Central Railway. Consequently, following trains will run in diverted routes:-

Diversion

·17005 Hyderabad – Raxaul Express leaving Hyderabad o­n 21.11, 28.11, 5.12 & 12.12.2019 will be diverted via Gondia – Raipur – Lakholi – Titlagarh – Jharusguda.

·17006 Raxaul – Hyderabad Express leaving Raxaul o­n 24.11, 1.12, 8.12 & 15.12.2019 will be diverted via Jharsuguda – Titlagarh – Lakholi – Raipur – Gondia.

·17007 Secunderabad – Darbhanga Express leaving Secunderabad o­n 23.11, 26.11, 30.11, 3.12, 7.12, 10.12, 14.12 & 17.12.2019 will be diverted via Gondia – Raipur – Lakholi – Titlagarh – Jharusguda.

·17008 Darbhanga – Secunderabad Express leaving Darbhanga o­n 22.11, 26.11, 29.11, 3.12, 6.12, 10.12, 13.12 & 17.12.2019 will be diverted via Jharsuguda – Titlagarh – Lakholi – Raipur – Gondia.

·07009 Secunderabad – Barauni Express special leaving Secunderabad o­n 24.11, 1.12, 8.12 & 15.12.2019 will be diverted via Gondia – Raipur – Lakholi – Titlagarh – Jharusguda.

·07010 Barauni – Secunderabad Express special leaving Barauni o­n 27.11, 4.12, 11.12 & 18.12.2019 will be diverted via Jharsuguda – Titlagarh – Lakholi – Raipur – Gondia.
