FEW WR TRAINS AFFECTED DUE TO BLOCK AT

SAYAN YARD IN SURAT - VADODARA SECTION

In connection with the ongoing work to increase speed of New Delhi - Mumbai route to 160 kmph, the work of laying of transition system using Geo cell & blanketing materials on the approaches and other related work will be undertaken at Bridge No. 471 at Sayan yard in Surat - Vadodara section. To carry out this work, a block of 4.30 hrs will be undertaken on UP line from 13.00 hrs, on Sunday, 18^th June, 2023 and hence few Western Railway trains will be cancelled, partially cancelled, regulated and rescheduled.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur â€“ Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of these trains are as under:

Trains Cancelled:

1.Train No. 09158 Bharuch Ââ€“ Surat MEMU, journey commencing on 18.06.2023
2.Train No. 09082 Bharuch Ââ€“ Surat MEMU, journey commencing on 18.06.2023

Trains Partially Cancelled:

1. Train No. 09161 Valsad â€“ Vadodara Passenger Special, journey commencing on 18.06.2023 is partially cancelled between Surat & Vadodara
2. Train No. 09162 Vadodara Ââ€“ Valsad Passenger Special, journey commencing on 18.06.2023 is partially cancelled between Vadodara & Surat
3. Train No. 19101 Virar - Bharuch ÂExpress, journey commencing on 18.06.2023 is partially cancelled between Surat & Bharuch

Regulation of Trains:

1.Train No. 19020 Haridwar â€“ Bandra Terminus Express of 17^th June, 2023 will be regulated by 50 minutes

Rescheduled Trains:

1.Train No. 16613 Rajkot â€“ Coimbatore Express of 18^th June, 2023 will be rescheduled by 2.45 hrs Ex Rajkot station.

2.Train No. 20902 Gandhinagar Capital â€“ Mumbai Central Vande Express of 18^th June, 2023 will be rescheduled by 1 hr Ex Gandhinagar Capital station.

Meeting of the SR Zonal Official Language Implementation Committee (ZOLIC) held

Meeting of the Zonal Official Language Implementation Committee (ZOLIC) was held today, 14th June 2023 under the chairmanship of Shri Kaushal Kishore, Additional General Manager, Southern Railway. Member officers from across Southern Railway joined the meeting directly and through virtual means.

Shri Gautam Dutta, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer and Chief Official Language Officer welcomed the gathering and motivated the employees to learn and implement the official language in their working.

Shri Kaushal Kishore, Additional General Manager, Southern Railway and the Chairman of ZOLIC lauded the departmental efforts in promoting the official language as he released the in-house magazine 'Dakshin Dhwani' and Help Literature on 'Hindi Typing in E-office' of Southern Railway Headquarters. Referring to the Hindi month, the AGM urged that many competitions should be organized to promote the official language.

Rajbhasha Adhikari Dr. A. Srinivasan gave a powerpoint presentation elucidating the achievements of Hindi department of Southern Railway during the year.
