Central Railway Press Release Central Railway records 6.23 lakh passengers using UTS App on 8.7.2019. Central Railway’s Mumbai Division has set a new record with 6,23,308 passengers using UTS App on 8.7.2019. This is almost 10.14% of its total passengers. Major suburban stations on Mumbai Division saw an encouraging response to Central Railway’s sustained efforts to promote the use of UTS app for ticketing. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus registered figures of 18.12% of its passengers using UTS app. Other stations registering similar response were Thane with 19.89%, Kalyan with 19.48%, Ambarnath with 12.40% and Badlapur with 15.36% on the main line. on the harbour line Panvel with 22.41%, Kharghar with 23.22%, Belapur with 21.46% & on the Trans-harbour line Ghansoli with 21.61% and Airoli with 16% registered a positive response to the UTS app. Shri S K Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai division, Central Railway, along with his team of dedicated Senior Officers and staff has been at the forefront in initiating several campaigns to popularise the UTS mobile app. Several drives have been conducted at various stations to educate passengers about the features of the UTS app, the procedure to download it and use the same. In addition to this UTS app promotion is also being done by advertising on ticket rolls, animated videos and radio jingles. Besides, the bonus of 5% and the ease of booking season tickets through the UTS app has been widely appreciated.
