Press Release:CONSTRUCTION OF NEW FOOT OVER BRIDGE (FOB) AT DHAMDHAMIA STATION



Kolkata, February 21, 2023

Eastern Railway is always striving hard for ensuring comfortable journey of passengers under the leadership of Shri Arun Arora, General Manager, Eastern Railway. In another stride to improve facilities, upgradation of Station and provide better convenience to the passengers, Eastern Railway’s Malda Division is constructing o­ne new Foot Over Bridge (FOB) at Dhamdhamia Railway station. 

The girder launching work for the FOB was completed successfully within the scheduled duration of traffic & power block, which was possible due to better planning & perfect coordination amongst various departments of the Malda Division at work site. It is expected to be completed by April 2023. o­nce the construction completes, it will connect both the platforms at Dhamdhamia station and of great help for the daily commuters especially during peak traffic hours. It will not o­nly facilitate smooth dispersal of crowds during rush hour but also prevent commuters from trespassing the Railway tracks.

Press Release:REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW FOB AT DHAMDHAMIA STATION OVER MALDA DIVISION



Kolkata, February 15, 2023:

For construction of new foot overbridge at Dhamdhamia station over Malda Division, traffic and power block has been planned o­n UP line for 390 minutes and o­n DOWN line for 300 minutes in Barharwa – Sahibganj section o­n 18.02.2023. Consequently, following arrangements in train running have been made :-

Cancellation of train o­n 17.02.2023 (Friday):
03439 Azimganj – Bhagalpur Passenger

Cancellation of trains o­n 18.02.2023 (Saturday):
05412/05411 Sahibganj – Barharwa - Sahibganj Passenger, 03091/03092 Azimganj – Sahibganj – Azimganj Passenger, 03037/03038 Sahibganj – Bhagalpur – Sahibganj Passenger & 03440 Bhagalpur – Azimganj Passenger

Diversion:
13032 Jaynagar – Howrah Express (arriving Bhagalpur o­n 18.02.2023) will be diverted via Bhagalpur – Dumka – Rampurhat.

Moreover, 03469/03470 Rampurhat – Tinpahar Passenger will be short terminated at/ short originated from Tilbhita o­n 18.02.2023.

Inconvenience to be caused to the passengers is deeply regretted.
