Press Release:DIGITAL TICKETING CAMPAIGN OVER MALDA DIVISION

DIGITAL TICKETING CAMPAIGN OVER MALDA DIVISION

Kolkata, December 14, 2022
Giving yet another boost to the Digital India initiative, Digital Ticketing Campaign has been initiated over Malda Division on 14.12.2022 in ordered to avoid long serpentine queues in front of the ticket counters at Railway Stations.

This campaign has since been initiated at Malda Town, Sahibganj, Bhagalpur, Pirpainti and Ghogha stations. Commercial Inspectors, Commercial staff and Booking Supervisors were deployed at these stations to guide/educate passengers in buying tickets through ATVMs (Automatic Ticket Vending Machine) and also through mobile app. Live demonstration of purchasing tickets through ATVMs & mobile app was also arranged to help passengers understanding the process of digital ticketing system. With the application of this digital ticketing system viz. UTS app & ATVM Machine, passengers can get daily, return, platform tickets and season tickets, avoiding long queues in the rush hours thereby saving their precious time.

Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) is an official android mobile ticketing app to book tickets which allows daily commuters to book five types of ticket booking viz., normal booking, quick booking, platform booking, seasonal booking, and QR booking. ATVMs are Smart Card-based ticket vending machines, which are being operated by using both Smart cards and UPI payment methods.
