WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN SUMMER SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN VALSAD – JAMMU TAWI For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand during the Summer season, Western Railway has decided to run Special train on Special Fare between Valsad – Jammu Tawi. According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of the special trains are as under: Train No. 09097/09098 Valsad – Jammu Tawi - Udhna AC Superfast Special (Weekly) [12 Trips] Train No. 09097 Valsad – Jammu Tawi AC SuperfastSpecial will leave Valsad every Monday at 00.30 hrs & will reach Jammu Tawi at 08.35 hrs, the next day. This train will run from 22nd May 2023 to 26th, June 2023. Similarly, Train No. 09098 Jammu Tawi - Udhna AC Superfast Special will depart from Jammu Tawi every Tuesday at 23.20 hrs & will arrive Udhna at 05.30 hrs, on Thursday.This train will run from 23rdMay 2023 to 27th, June 2023. Enroute this train will halt at Navsari, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Mathura, Delhi Safdarjung, Ambala Cant, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cant and Pathankot Cantt stations in both directions. Train No. 09098 will terminate at Udhna station & hence will not halt at Navsari station. This train comprises of AC 3-Tier and AC Chair CarCoaches. The booking of Train Nos. 09097 will open from 20th May, 2023 at PRS counters and IRCTC website. 72 ‘One Station one Product’ outlets across Maharashtra on 69 Railway Stations Objective to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ vision and provide a market for local/indigenous products Ministry of Railways had launched the ‘One Station one Product’ (OSOP) scheme over Indian Railways with objectives to promote the ‘Vocal for Local’ vision of the Government of India, provide a market for local/indigenous products and create additional income opportunities for the marginalised sections of society. Under the scheme, OSOP outlets at railway stations are allotted for showcasing, selling and giving high visibility to indigenous/local products. The pilot of the scheme was started on 25.03.2022 and as of 15.05.2023, 69 railway stations are covered with 72 OSOP outlets across the state of Maharashtra. These OSOP stalls have been designed by the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad for uniformity throughout Indian Railways. ‘One Station one Product’ is specific to that place and includes artefacts made by indigenous tribes, handlooms by local weavers, handicrafts like world-famous wood carving, chikankari and zari-zardozi work on clothes, or spices tea, coffee and other processed/semi-processed food items/products indigenously grown in the area.
