- General Manager inspected Kazipet – Jammikunta – Peddapalli – Ramagundam - Manchiryal – Bellampalli - Sirpur Kaghaznagar - Manikgarh section Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook annual inspection of Kazipet – Jammikunta – Peddapalli – Ramagundam - Manchiryal – Bellampalli - Sirpur Kaghaznagar – Manikgarh section of Secunderabad Division today i.e., 25th November, 2022. He was accompanied by Shri A.K Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division, Principal Heads of the various Departments and other senior officials throughout the inspection. The General Manager commenced the inspection at Kazipet Railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities available at the station and inspected the station premises including the newly renovated Reserved Lounge. The General Manager inaugurated TTE Lobby, Refreshment Room & Base Kitchen, Solar Power Plant (50KW) and Renovated Crew Lobby at Kazipet. Shri Dayakar Pasunoori, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Warangal and Shri Nannapaneni Narender , Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Warangal met the General Manager at Kazipet and discussed on various Rail development plans pertaining to their constituencies. The General Manager inaugurated and inspected Level Crossing Gate in Uppal – Jammikunta section. Further, he conducted a detailed inspection of Jammikunta Railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities and inspected the staff quarters. He also inaugurated a Solar Power Plant (20 KW) at the station. Shri Koushik Reddy, Member of Legislative Council met the General Manager and discussed on developmental plans. Further, the General Manager inspected the new Road Under Bridge in Jammikunta – Bisugir Sharif section. He also inspected a minor bridge in Kolanoor – Peddapalli section. Shri Manohar Reddy, Member of Legislative Assembly, Peddapalli met the General Manager and discussed on further developmental plans at Peddapalli Railway station. Later, Shri Arun Kumar Jain conducted a detailed inspection of Ramagundam Railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities and inspection the station premises including running room and circulating area. He also inaugurated Block for Ladies Running Staff, Open Gym & Children’s Park at the station and flagged off new Periodic Overhauling Rake. Later, the General Manager visited the Routine Overhauling shed at Ramagundam, wherein he inaugurated a new conference hall and participated in tree plantation program. He also inaugurated Electronic In-Motion Weigh Bridge at Metpally and Sultanabad through remote video link. Further, the General Manager examined a major bridge in Peddampet – Manchiryal section. He visited Manchiryal Railway station and conducted a detailed inspection of the station premises, circulating area and goods shed. He examined safety of tracks and interacted with the safety staff at the station. He also inaugurated an Energy Neutral Track Maintenance Tool Cum Rest Room and Hamali’s shed at Manchiryal. Later, he conducted a speed test from Manchiryal to Bellampalli. Shri Arun Kumar Jain proceeded onto Bellampalli Railway station, wherein he inspected the station premises including crew lobby, running room, carriage & wagon depot and the stalls set up for innovations and good work at the station. He also inaugurated Block for Ladies Running Staff and Open Gym & Children’s Park at Bellampalli station. During the course of the inspection, several Public Representatives met the General Manager and submitted representations regarding passenger amenities, provision of halts, introduction of new trains etc. The General Manager also interacted with the media personnel and briefed them on development plans being undertaken by SCR. To mark 75th year of India’s Independence, East Coast Railway has taken Har Ghar Tiranga Drive under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, to encourage its employees to bring the Tiranga at their home and to hoist from 13th to 15th August’2022.
Citizens of the country along with Railway Employees relationship with the National Flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the National Flag to their home collectively, as the nation in the 75th year of independence, thus becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of their commitment to Nation-Building. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the employees and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
Employees and officers of East Coast Railway led by its General Manager (I/C) Shri Sharad Kumar Srivastava participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga Drive to bring the patriotism amongst the Railway employees by hoisting the National Flag at their home and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
Earlier, General Manager Shri Srivastava had appealed all its employees to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga Drive and advised all Principal Heads of the Departments and Divisional Railway Managers to take necessary action so that every employees can be involved in the drive. Steps were taken to distribute National flag amongst all employees.
Selfie points were also provided to mark the occasion at Puri, Khurda Road, Brahmapur & Cuttack Stations under Khurda Road Division; Bhawanipatna, Nawapara Road, Mahasamund, Balangir, Bargarh Road & Sambalpur Stations under Sambalpur Railway Division and Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram & Rayagada Stations under Waltair Division during the observance of Har Ghar Tiranga Drive.
