Railway Protection Force Personnel Nab Luggage Thief Through CCTV Footage

Railway Protection Force personnel have apprehended two culprits, o­ne at Hyderabad Railway Station and another at Secunderabad Railway station in the last week. The details of the crimes are as under:-

A passenger lodged a complaint about theft of his luggage while boarding Train No. 17032 Hyderabad-Mumbai Express o­n 13th April, 2015. RPF personnel identified the criminal through CCTV footage and handed over the culprit to Government Railway Police for further action.


Crime Prevention and Detection Squad had apprehended o­ne suspect at Secunderabad Railway Station o­n 17thApril, 2015. He was handed over to Government Railway Police (GRP), Secunderabad. o­n further interrogation, GRP came to know about his involvement in other crimes o­n Railway premises and recovered 145 grams of stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 144000/- from him. A case is booked against the thief.
